Hi! I’m a seasoned, versatile public speaker, author and content writer available for assignments and ongoing projects. I’m professional and responsive, and dedicated to providing clear, engaging content tailored to its intended audience.
I regularly present to: schools and parent groups about the sleep/mental wellness connection and related topics. I've appeared on the Today show, BBC World Radio, WBUR “On Point,” KQED “Forum,” and many other radio, TV, and podcast segments. I’m based in California. For more information about speaking engagements, click here. My broadcast, radio and podcast appearances are here.
My book, The Sleep-Deprived Teen, was published in 2022; it was reviewed in The New York Times and received a starred review in Publishers Weekly. The book is an outgrowth of my advocacy helping spark California's landmark law on healthy school start times and my extensive writing on teen sleep.
My 30+ years’ experience includes: corporate communications, HR communications and public relations at Bank of America; articles for The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Washington Post; and ongoing freelance writing assignments.
My specialties include: sleep, mental health, wellness, parenting, public health, sports safety, education, financial services, and human resources. In recent years, I’ve written extensively about sleep, parenting and education. Links to articles are here.
